Ilana Lamstein, the author of the book 'Hasta que no estés en su lugar,' was interviewed by journalist Alejandro Camino for his program 'La Mañana en Camino,' broadcasted by Diamante FM 98.7.

During the interview, Ilana discussed the origin of her interest in family stories and how this led her to research and write about the story of Monica Wartenberger, the daughter of Holocaust survivors. The book explores, through one particular story, the psychological effects and emotional impact of the Jewish Holocaust across generations.

The interview addresses the importance of preserving historical memory and the rescue of personal experiences of the Shoah (the Hebrew term for the Jewish Holocaust), in which the Nazi regime and its collaborators murdered six million Jews, including 1.5 million children.

Ilana reflects on the challenges of dealing with complex histories and the necessary balance between personal narratives, which are always subjective, and responsibility in the presentation of historical events. In this regard, the collaboration of Jani Pietsch, a Berlin historian, in the research and documentation contained in the book, stands out.

In the interview, Ilana emphasizes the importance of looking to the future without forgetting the past, in order to learn from it and educate new generations in values, respect, and empathy.
