Lic. Ilana Lamstein, author of the book "Hasta que no estés en su lugar," was received by Rita Vinocur, director of the Uruguay Holocaust Remembrance Museum, along with Sandra Veinstein, where she presented the book to the Simon Wiesenthal Shoah Library at the Uruguay Holocaust Remembrance Center.
The article is about the delivery of a copy of the book "Hasta que no estés en su lugar" to the Simon Wiesenthal Shoah Library at the Centro Recordatorio del Holocausto de Uruguay. On Thursday, July 15th, Prof. Rita Vinocur, director of the Uruguay Holocaust Remembrance Museum, and Sandra Veinstein, deputy director, had the great pleasure of welcoming Lic. Ilana Lamstein, the author of the book based on the testimony of Mónica Wartenberger, the daughter of Holocaust survivors.
This interesting book, recently published, combines thorough documentary research with Mónica's personal account. It includes bibliographic material, archival documents, and photos that expand and contextualize the protagonist's individual story within the social, political, and historical context in which the events unfold. The author was thanked for the pleasant encounter and for delivering two copies of her work for the catalog of the Simon Wiesenthal Shoah Library.
